2 years old in 2 weeks!

Wow, Kyra will be 2 years old in 2 weeks! Where did all the time go? I feel like just yesterday she was an itty bitty baby. Now, she is the big toddler girl, who tells me what to do and how to do it.

My poor baby (yes, still my baby) is sick this week. She is running a fever and coughing. :( I hope she feels better soon. I hate her being sick, even though she is running around and acting fine! :)

Pumpkin Patch at Patterson Farm

Last weekend, we went to the pumpkin patch. It's a great little place, called Patterson Farms, near Salisbury, NC and actually very near the school that I work at. We went with my BFF, Lyndsey, her husband, Alex and my goddaughter Reagyn.

I'm slacking on the blog....

It's been awhile since I've updated the blog. I haven't taken any new pictures lately to show. Although, Billy did just finish painting the last room of the house, so now I can take pictures of that.

Let's see-
Kyra update: She is definitely nearing 2! Her behavior has been so random...one minute, she is the sweetest child...next minute, she is off the wall and sooooo mad! She is talking up a storm, 3 to 4 words sentences. She LOVES to copy EVERYTHING, and I mean everything that Billy and I say or do. :)

House update-
Like I said, Billy has finished painting the last room of the house today! So, now it is up to me to take pictures and post them! There is always something that needs to be fixed or done...at least according to Billy! LOL

What am I doing wrong?

I feel like I am struggling as a mother. I am having such a hard time trying to figure out what is wrong with Kyra. I can't seem to figure her out. The past couple of nights, she has been fighting sleep. Screaming Mommy...don't want to in her bed. It makes me feel so sad and horrible, like i am a terrible mother if I don't go in there and try to calm her down. But, if I do go in there, she wants to get down and play. I'm sure she is tired...she is used to go to bed the same time every night. Why the sudden change now??

Mixed Emotions

Today is bittersweet for me. I'm happy because I have gotten to spend all summer with Kyra. I've really enjoyed my time with her. But, now it's time for me to go back to work. School starts back next week, so things have to be ready. I'm starting at a new school with new people. So, things will be different. I'm excited to be somewhere new but also really nervous. All I can do is pray about it! I know that God has chosen this path for me for a reason. Now it is time to find out why.

Our new house!!!

We have finally moved into our new house (Officially July 23) :) Please just remember that we have just moved in, so everything is still messy and not finished. We are waiting to hang up pics until we have painted. There is a 3rd Bedroom that we are working on making a playroom for Kyra. But, it is just way too messy right now to post pics!
